It's a business. A run around experience for me, they had me attend orientation 3 times in 2 months before starting because of scheduling screw ups. The day of my appointment they said they weren't expecting me... but would do me a favor by penciling me in. While many individuals there were friendly and kind, the head coordinator and admitting doctor were callus so to say. I could only attend a certain number of days which did not fit with what they advised ( their advice was a more intensive, expensive program). Rather than work with my needs or as an individual they told me I had to attend the program they wanted or they wouldn't help me. Now, I know this assessment to be false because I use the SAME head, assessing doctor as my prescribing doctor at a different facility. It is sad to see programs operate like this, as an impersonal business instead of working to find someone the help or assistance they truly need or in appropriate cooperation with individuals. DON'T GO HERE.....IT'S FOR LACK OF OPTION in my area for peoples who need assistance. I've been to many programs and private companies such as this and I would rate this as VERY LOW. People come here because they HAVE TO for lack of insurance or options in health care or behavioral care. But, for those who are suffering and have no other options, it may seem a savior... sadly.
This place is truly godsent and amazing I came to this facility broken dazed and confused stuck in a world I created and fueled one that I did not belong in this place gave me the tools that I needed to succeed showed me how to use them and apply them to every day life and learn to take things as it comes I was diagnosed 100% with careful consideration and placed on medications that was much needed and today I have my life back so please if you’re looking for a place to help you out of the darkest deepest pit you’ve ever been in your life this is the place for you not only have I gone through the program yet I have put both my children through this program as well through the Joshua Center in Groton and in Norwich it’s one big family there they know who you are they remember what you say and they care about you but that can speak for itself as soon as you do your intake and get to know the counselors, Receptionist, doctor and director. Many thanks to Kathy the director, The receptionist Kim, counselors Peter, Melanie and Justin and the Suboxone clinic you guys are amazing thank you for helping me save my life when I was not strong enough to do it and thank you for showing me the tools that I needed to succeed I will be four years sober January 16 of 2018 by the grace of God and the help that you all have given me Sincerely Tiffany MC
