I ordered a party pizza that was supposed to cost $10 with a silver savings card and ended up costing $15.96 (with the card) and the pizzai received was horrible all the way around, taste, and sight wise. I have never had such a horrible pizza. The manager decided to give me a pizza of lesser value to make up for it. Oh well lesson learned.

Shop the ad and you’re all set. Stray too far from that and you’ll get raked over the coals pretty hard. Watch out for their produce too, we almost always see something rotting on the shelf. The meat, seafood, and deli are all great. I will say that their fish n chips are terribly greasy and expensive. The staff is very friendly, it just seems like they lack expertise in certain areas and the management is not taking the time to help (probably too busy talking to each other). I normally would not be so critical, but the big y chain loves to promote how much they care and how they value quality of product and service. They might just need to step up their game a bit more from a mgmt/training perspective.
Be sure to ring the bell when you leave! Awesome grocery store with plenty of options and great prices. I really love their in-store made Peanut Butter.
Big Y is a clean grocery store with a large selection of foods. Grocery prices are definitely a little high. They have a cafe and bakery which both make fresh food. The pizza at the cafe is reasonably priced and would rank in the top 5 pizzas I have had.
