It is always rather funny when someone who makes less money in their entire lifetime judges someone who makes the same amount of money in a year. Just a major turnoff.
I recently had surgery on my back and am selling one of my houses (a vacation home listed for $949,000, - guess the purported owner sized me and my budget just fine) and needed a new bed rather than taking the old one which is eight years old. The owner was abusive, judgmental and pushy. I ended up buying a $4,100 bed across the street after the "owner" locked up to go to lunch. Guess he didn't have time to actually help someone who just had back surgery.
Go to any other place. This place simply is not a place anyone would care to purchase anything from, even if it was a dollar.
99 % of the reviews here say the same thing as me. Owner is aggressive and rude. I'll never buy anything from him. I only told him I wanted to let the dust settle and he lost his mind and called me a liar and nearly physically threatened me. I don't think he is very busy for very good reason. His personality. I live in that area and drive by all the time. I never see anyone in there. He won't see me again after his extreme lack of professionalism. Good luck Weiss, you need it.
Greg is a very pushy guy fast-talking but knows his stuff. We've compared prices with a retail stores and chain stores and that prices we're better then others. We spent too close to two hours to make a decision on just simply a headboard and footboard because we already had a mattress and yes Greg did sleep with us all this time talking all the time. I Come From New York City and some fast-talking person does not bother me one bit nor is he going to make a decision for me.
Knowledge 4 stars. Sales tactics and posted prices, O stars.
All I heard was how the fire house, the CEO of EB and some mayor just bought a bed there. Who cares? A huge turn off. At one point he offered to sell a $3,499 bed for $1,500 and when I said ok he laughed. This place is simply a joke and I say that nicely. Do yourself a favor, go to a real bedding store where prices are posted and you have the luxury of trying a bed out before laying out three to four grand. I can't say enough how horrible an experience it was.
So, we went in looking for a new bed. Met the owner, who sized me up as as low life as I was in shorts and, rather dirty clothes, after painting my house. Wanted a new bed. Already have two tempurpedic king size beds. The owner was extremely knowledgeable and knew his product well. After 20 minutes he had to lock up to go get lunch as he surmised that an attorney dressed as a slob wasn't a buyer. He makes as used car dealer look great. We were trying to buy a bed for about a grand, which was a starting point as bedding has a 400 percent markup, as that is what Bob's advertises, but had a budget not to exceed five thousand.
I'd bet dollars to donuts that guy is doing lines in the back of his empty store all day! I went in with a clear intention of purchasing a kitchen table and had exact measurements that fit my room. The owner insisted there was no such table that size even though I told him my tables was identical to a similar model at another store. It was laughable. Then when he found out I lived in the town he was scheduled to deliver to that week he thought that justified me buying some other table I didn't want. He couldn't stop talking about how convenient that would be for his store. Like he couldn't let go of it. He reminded me of rain man on Coke. Seriously.
After 25 minutes, I asked for his card so I could return on Wednesday, three days hence from today, (to actually "test drive" the bed) and he refused to provide it as "he was the owner."
We are expecting delivery next week, I will update this review after delivery.
To give this account a one is kind. My wife had a horrible experience and this is from her experience: I walked into the store knowing what I wanted. I was told I would be taken care of shortly. Unfortunately, I waited 20 minutes for the sales person to reach me. The other individuals he was working with expressed how upset they were that I was left to wait so long. I was so determined to purchase my items for Christmas gifts that it didn't matter. At roughly 30 minutes of waiting, I was given a hard time about my mattress choice so much that it deterred me from purchasing anything. The crazy part was i was there to purchase three expensive pillows. I attempted to purchase the pillows three times and on the third attempt became highly upset with the employers hostility and decided to leave.
As a side note, the "owner" gave me a reference, whom by the way, In July I just purchase a $2,100 chair from across the street at Laz-y-Boy. I called them (Kevin) and they had no idea who he was or what he was talking about. You can read my reference that I posted about Laz-y-Boy, the "reference"", for the veracity of my assertion that I posted three months ago. Don't waste your time here. Just a joke and quite frankly a waste of thirty minutes of your life. I have zero problem spending more money than the competition when I feel it is merited. Here, I would not take a bed if they delivered it for free. And, if I could give them less than one star I would. As the "owner" told me, if he didn't "own" the place he would buy a bed a Raymor Flanagan, and that was the best advice I got. That is what I did. Thanks!
