The Red Door facility in Groton, CT is all one expects of a Red Door salon. It is easily accessed, beautifully tended, and the staff are warm and efficient. Melissa, who gave me a great deep-tissue massage and intensive foot massage, was top-notch. It was the thoroughly relaxing experience I was hoping for.
I love how you enter into the waiting area - the lighting is soft, the coffee is good, the water with lemon is a great addition, you can have wine! I love the conversations with people you never meet, but everyone has a common interest of taking care of your well being!
Luxurious Spa! Catered to from the second I walked in the door to the moment I walked out. I treated myself and a friend for her birthday and the exsperience was pampering and relaxing. And with use of the relaxation room, showers, steam room and even the hotel pool and hot tub for the whole day as well, I couldn't ask for more. I only wish I remembered the name of the woman who gave me my signature massage, she was awesome! Thank you! I will be back soon.
From the first tour of the spa through a delicious lunch, I felt pampered and cared for. Each service was more than advertised and the professionals really took the time to not only explain, but make sure I understood what was happening. This would be a great place to take spa newbies, though it may spoil them for anywhere else! I can’t wait for my next trip to Mystic!
My favorite indulgence at the Spa is a pedicure. The technicians are very attentive; they understand what you want and provide excellent service. The atmosphere in the spa is light and airy, while the relaxation room is dimly lit with quiet instrumentals playing in the background. Always a pleasant experience!
