Good service, good food, the only thing the sausage gravy was a little greaser than I like.
Their Sunday breakfast is great, their pastrami sandwich is one of my favorites, and their baked goods have a homemade feel to them.
The biggest issue came in that the sandwich didn't 'look' burnt and no one tried it but me. (Not that I would expect anyone to bite into a stranger's sandwich, but I am the only one who can attest for it's taste since I was, in fact, the only one that ate- rather, tasted it.) I spoke with the owner the following day and she told me the same thing, only she decided that the addition of debating the sandwich's 'burnt-ness' with the customer was the correct response.
I cannot recommend eating here, there are far better places to eat in the Groton area. Do not give this place your time, or money.
I was there for breakfast on a Monday morning. The food was good and the service was friendly. The establishment was clean. Definitely a place that I go to when in the area.
The baked goods are very good. However don't eat any other food. Imagine someone with the flu handling your food. Yes, there workers are expected to come in and work regardless if there sick or not. They smoke cigs in the back room where ur food is prepared. Trust me you don't want to eat there food, if the health department new half the stuff they did they would be closed.
Naturally, I called to complain. They were unable to issue a refund because, I quote, "The purchase was made on a credit card." They said they could offer me a gift card or replace the food. I didn't want either, why would I want more food from the place that made such bad food? I even drove all the way back to return the food, it was so awful. Why else would I waste my time? The staff seemed less than empathetic, especially the cook who was on his phone the entire time - both instances I was inside the store.
My wife and I ordered food from this establishment last night for pick up. We paid, received our dishes and went home. When I got home, I bit into my panini and tasted nothing but char. It was, by far, one of the most disgusting things I'd ever put in my mouth. I didn't know if there were other flavors because it just tasted burnt.
