Overall, a great place to stay! Especially if you are staying for more than a weekend. My husband and I stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks with our toddler and newborn and the only downfall that I found was that our room did not have a bath tub and there were no cot or pack and play options! We ran out and grabbed a pack and play but if you plan on staying and need a place for children, be prepared! On the plus, we have a very spacious room, so plenty of room for the kids to move around and play and the kitchenette offers plenty of storage for snacks and food or whatnot. The staff has been more than accomadating! Laundry room is very clean. Vending machines with all the goodies, and clear throughout the building! I read another review where there was a complaint of no a/c and that the building was warm! When we arrived our room was set at 60 and I assure you it felt it, if not cooler! Our ac is functioning and the building itself if cool, as well! We would definitely stay here again!
Oh and my husband found a half used bottle of lotion on the bathroom counter where all the hotel provided toiletries are displayed, so it makes you wonder how much attention is being paid to that.
OK while it may be a bargain do yourself a favor and don't stay here. My brother in law retired from the Navy and we stayed here on base along with alot of other family and friends. We booked quite a few rooms. First off there is no air conditioning. The windows open and there's a fan in your closet. That is a joke. And we have had zero hot water for 2 days. We have all been complaining to the front desk. They just don't care. So don't stay here. It's not worth it. Stay somewhere off base. Two thumbs down on this place.
The room is nice, and the staff is very friendly from what I've seen. The only downside is that it's just so hot, there is no ac in the building, or at least in the common areas and our room. Now normally I could deal with this if it was just me, but we have our newborn with us and the constant 80°+ temperature is getting to her. We can't stay in the room during the day, I have to try to find places with AC and just walk around there trying to pass the time until it cools down enough to bring her back to the room. Luckily she does really well in her carseat or this would be a nightmare.
Wasn't sure how it would be, as I pictured barracks rooms, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Lobby and the room were SO much nicer than I could have imagined! The room was quite pretty, very spacious and clean! Thank you for a very pleasant experience!!!
Overall I'd say, if it's just you (no children), you can handle heat well, and you don't mind walking to the other side of the building on the first floor (when like us, you're on the third floor) check this place out. If that doesn't sound good to you, I'd look into something else.
I just called to inquire about availability and Jessica was so friendly and polite. Not only did she explained about the facility she provided some helpful insights and tips about nearby lodgings and weather. Too bad the availability was not available or I would have booked it there and thank her in person. This is the type of customer service that every business needs to provide. Thank you Jessica for being polite, informative, and just wonderful to talk to.
